I finally managed to join the CDF Runners again for their Thursday Night Trails (TNT).

The plan was to recce the new route for the Pentyrch Hill Race, which is next Tuesday. We managed to do the whole route, apart from the private road through the farm.

The main change to the route is that it avoids Tyn Y Coed woods. I like the woods and the brutal climb but I didn’t like the long tarmac decent at the start so it’ll be interesting to see how the race goes.

This photo was taken looking down a steep zigzag segment we took to avoid the farm. It was a great view and fun climb!

It was great little group tonight with some speedy fell runners and very good dogs.
