The colourful wrap has been removed from Castell Coch! I went up for a walk this morning and actually saw the removal. I grabbed this photo on my run after waiting for some visitors to move out of frame. There were lots of people enjoying picnics in the grounds.

I’m really enjoying getting back into regular running but I don’t want to overdo it. I chose a shorter route today and tried to take it easy.

It’s been a bit hazy after a few very clear days but it was still beautiful up on the Garth. I was a bit pushed for time today so I wasn’t able to increase the distance but I felt strong and pushed myself on some inclines.

The work on the main path through the sculpture trail appeared to have stopped so I headed that way. The ground has been churned up from the vehicles and machinery. There are still piles of wood chip and loose branches on the verges. I presume this will be cleared up and the accessible path reinstated.…

The forecast was good so I headed out for a longer run this morning. I stuck to the hard trails and not too many hills. This was the view of the Garth from Coed y Gedrys.

Fforest Fawr is open again so I checked out the trails. The ground has been churned up quite a bit. The forest was very moody and misty.

Another clear day meant another trek up the hills to enjoy the views. I knew Craig yr Allt would still be muddy but I love the peace and quiet. I only passed one walker. After a couple weeks back to regular running, I’m feeling a bit stronger. I’m still taking it easy and walking lots…

Another fresh start today! I forgot the forest was closed so when I reached these trees I wasn’t sure where I could go. The signs weren’t very clear so I skirted around the outside and headed up the Taff Trail. The path from the trail back to the train station at Taff’s Well is open…
