It was my third time up the Garth last night with the third running group in 3 weeks.

I met the Running Punks in Gwaelod-Y-Garth and we headed up through Garth Woods to start the climb up to the top.

It was dark and wet when we left but the rain got worse on the summit and we were sodden by the time we regrouped at the trig point.

Storm Agnes was due to bring strong winds but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The driving rain made visibility hard but we could see each other’s lights and we kept an eye on everyone.

The descent was a mud-fest but we survived and made our way back to the start.

I’ve met the Punks a few times and they’re a really friendly, welcoming group.
