Well this was a run of two halves! The first 7 miles were glorious. The last few were a wet, muddy slog down through the quarry with a painful foot.

I decided to do a couple of loops over the Garth and two sections through the woods. My mistake was heading back down by the quarry, I should’ve gone back to the woods!

Thunderstorms were forecast and it started raining about 6 miles in but it blew over quickly and didn’t get any worse.

I still take wrong turns, despite the thousands of miles I’ve run over the years, but I ended up stopping to chat to a lovely couple from Gwaelod.
