Locations – Coed y Wenallt, The Garth

Distance – 18 miles

Elevation – 2810 feet

Forest path with dappled light and bluebells in the distance.

I had a quiet week on the running front so I was excited to get out this morning for a long run.

The bluebells are still out in the Wenallt so I enjoyed a gentle loop enjoying the colour and dappled light. Then I headed up to Craig yr Allt, which was a lot busier than normal. I had a quick chat with a guy on a walk with his family then I stopped and had a lovely chat with a couple of trail runners.

After hitting the Garth, I needed a rest and some downhill sections to get home. I added a couple of miles down the Taff Trail to hit 18. My legs were quite heavy at 14 miles but I still finished strong.
