Long run day! I set out planning to do 16 miles and despite feeling a bit off, I managed it.

I stuck to known routes and simply coasted along listening to a podcast. Even with some entertainment I’m struggling being out for so long on my own. I bumped into some acquaintances and a couple of Punks.

The Pentyrch Hill Race has just been announced with a change to the route. No details were given so it’ll be interesting to see what this is. With that in mind I went up through Tyn Y Coed woods on the way to the Garth.

I nearly cut the run short but decided to plough on and hit Craig yr Allt. This was about mile 12 and it felt hard. After that it was an easy descent down through the village and home to a well earned snack.
