I love seeing other runners when I’m out and about. I could see a group ahead of me as I walked up the path from Castell Coch.
I spotted a familiar face at the front of the group. I blurted out “Cardiff Dave!” as I approached him and wished everyone a good run. (That’s what you do to people you only know from the Internet, right?!)
If you don’t follow Dave, I encourage you to check out his Instagram and Twitter feeds. I’ve been following him for years and he’s an amazingly friendly and positive runner.
Dave coaches the Moti Albany Road Run Club and is a keen Park Runner but you’re just as likely to see him on the trails.
Today’s photo is Castell Heights Golf Course, which you can see better after the recent tree felling. It’s a little perturbing running alongside the greens with no protection from stray balls!
It was lovely out in the forest and loads of people were enjoying the trails. The forest was looking spotless, thanks to volunteers who attended the North Cardiff Trails litter pick yesterday.
