The trails are very aromatic right now. Fforest Ganol doesn’t have many bluebells but the wild garlic is intense. I was disappointed not to do the Pentyrch Hill Race last night. I always love this event but the downhill tarmac section is tough on the ol’ knees.

Another shorter run as I spent ages taking photos in Greenmeadow Wood. The bluebells are coming out so I was trying to get some nice photos. I didn’t get one so here’s the castle instead.

Greenmeadow Wood and Fforest Ganol today. I ran up to the entrance of Fforest Fawr, it’s completely blocked off as the car park’s closed. Fforest Ganol is open so I included it in my loop. It’s really muddy from the weeks of rain we’ve had.

Resisting the temptation to bomb it up the Garth, I ventured out in the rain for a slow plod around Fforest Ganol. I walked the steep bits and took it easy for a nice, if soggy, 10k. This tree, on the descent from Castell Coch, has been blocking the path for a while.
