Distance – 4.5 miles

Elevation – 543 feet

Logs piled up on the side of a muddy forest path

I don’t tend to run early in the morning but I had a very lazy weekend and wanted to kickstart the week by getting out for some fresh air.

I went up into Fforest Fawr and ran past all the timber that’s been removed. Natural Resources Wales are using horse logging to remove infected larch trees.

The horses were just getting ready when I left the forest road and headed over to the sculpture trail.

The paths are particularly muddy with all the extra traffic from the logging and the rain we’ve had. I was tempted to pop into the new coffee shop but I resisted the urge.

I’ll save that treat for a longer run.
