The weather was cooler today and perfect for running. I ran the long route up the Taff Trail, heading north, from Tongwynlais to the Penrhos Cutting. Early run for me! No coffee so felt tired, heavy and slow. The Glamorganshire Canal was bustling this morning. I went down the old railway track again and back up through Whitchurch and across Coryton.

To celebrate Global Running Day I went for a run! I warmed up with a couple of miles on the Taff Trail then headed up to Castell Coch and back down through Fforest Fawr. I stopped briefly to enjoy the view up the valley.

Just a short run down the Taff Trail before work this morning. Stopped to grab a photo of the “forest man”. I haven’t been past here for a while and I’d forgotten what a great sculpture it is! I wish I had more time as it was lovely out this morning.

Today’s run was a flat mix of tarmac and trails. I took a slightly different route and ran down the old railway line towards the Hollybush Estate. I need to get in the habit of running more regularly. These shorter midweek runs help me get away from the desk but I can find excuses too…
